Dear High School Students, Parents and Teachers,
Greetings!
I am pleased to announce the 2008 Congressional Art Competition for Indiana's Fourth Congressional District. This competition is open to artists in grades 9 through 12 who would like their submitted artwork to be the winning piece that is displayed in the Cannon tunnel for the visitors to the Capitol to view. One piece of artwork will be selected to represent the Fourth District and hung among other outstanding submissions from young artists from across the United States.
Artwork must be received in my Monticello District Office no later than Monday, April 21, 2008. The winning artwork will be transferred for display in Washington, DC in June 2008.
For information regarding rules and guidelines for the Art Competition please call Michelle Mills in my Monticello Office at (574)583-9819. A student release form must be filled out and signed along with an adhesive label to the back of the artwork. A copy of the release form along with the guidelines for the artwork are provided at these links and can be printed for use from these PDF files.
